American Buildings Honors Builders For Excellence In Design

Building Of The Year - Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana (shown above and below)

Charlotte, NC - American Buildings has announced the winners of its 2021 Excellence in Design Awards. The competition is designed to highlight the diverse application and expansion of the metal building construction industry. Each project showcases new designs that illustrate innovative metal system construction.

Each year, American Buildings hosts the Excellence in Design Awards competition for all Authorized American Buildings Builders. American Buildings works with builders in helping them transform ideas into actual designs.

This year, judges chose from over 100 entries and selected the best projects in each of the following categories: Agriculture; Auto Dealership; Church/Religious Centers; Commercial; Government/Institutional; Manufacturing/Industrial; Office; Recreation; Retail; Special Projects; Transportation; and Warehouse/Distribution.

Recognized in each category were winners, first and second runners-up, and honorable mentions. The winners from each category were then nominated to compete for the top award: 2021 Building of the Year.

“The Excellence in Design Awards allow our Builders the opportunity to be recognized for their innovation in the metal construction industry,” said Carlie Smith, Marketing Director for Nucor Buildings Group. “Our Builders exemplified their resilience, flexibility, and innovation through a challenging year, and we are continually impressed by the level of talent and quality our Builders deliver on each of their projects. The diverse range of buildings submitted for the Excellence in Design program is truly inspiring and demonstrates the versatility of American Buildings metal buildings and products.”
