METALCON Partnering With Feeding Tampa Bay For Trade Show Fundraiser
Newton, MA
— METALCON, the metal construction industry’s only global event dedicated exclusively to the application of metal in design and construction, is giving back to the local community during its annual tradeshow and conference, taking place Wednesday,
Oct. 6–Friday, Oct. 8 at the Tampa Convention Center.
For this year’s giving back program,
METALCON has partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay, part of the national Feeding America network,
providing food to one million families in the 10-county area of West Central Florida. The money raised at the show will help drive the food bank’s strong daily response and further the organization’s outreach.
Each year, METALCON gives back to the local community where the event takes place. At the last show, METALCON partnered with the
Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania to raise money for essential housing, employment, and vital support services for eligible Pittsburgh-area veterans, service
members and their families to improve their self-sufficiency, sustainability and quality of life.
Contributions to
Feeding Tampa Bay can be made before, during and after the show online at www.metalcon.com.
To contribute during the show, stop by The Deck, located inside the exhibit hall at the southeast corner by the METALCON sales office, where members of show management will be available to meet supporters.
Following all fundraising efforts, a special check presentation ceremony with the organization’s development officer, Jason Prado and METALCON show management, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 7 at 4.00 p.m. in the convention center.
“A year and a half into the pandemic, so many of our neighbors are facing hunger – many for the very first time,” said Feeding Tampa Bay’s Chief Development Officer, Kelley K. Sims. “Because of the generosity of so many people
like your show’s audience, Feeding Tampa Bay and food banks across the country are making sure our neighbors impacted by the crisis have the food they need, providing hope to so many people.”
