Adam Shoemaker |
West Chester, Ohio – In a move to reinforce ClarkDietrich’s commitment to sustainability, former building code compliance and real estate manager Adam Shoemaker has been named as the company’s new corporate sustainability manager.
“Adam has done extensive work on the sustainability front over the last several years. This new assignment is a continuation of his personal growth in this expanding field,” said Jim Collins, president and CEO, ClarkDietrich. “In
this newly created role, Adam will be responsible for expanding the company’s efforts to minimize its carbon footprint while providing high-quality products that contribute to overall sustainability in the built environment.”
Sustainability has long been a core tenet of business at all levels of the company. In 2015, ClarkDietrich received third-party verified, ISO-compliant Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its complete steel product portfolio. Additionally, ClarkDietrich
recycles 100 percent of steel waste at its manufacturing facilities and employs a technical team that includes numerous LEED accredited professionals, while product development consciously engages optimal use of material, as well as ease of construction.
“We’ve come a long way, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. As the largest manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing in North America, ClarkDietrich has an opportunity to provide leadership in how we, as an industry, can attain
a more sustainable future,” Shoemaker said. “I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and doing my part to get us there.”
