MRA Selects Florida Home As Q2 Contest Winner

MRA-Q2-winner

The Metal Roofing Alliance's Q2 Best Metal Roofing Project is a 7,800 sq. ft. home in Ocala, FL, reroofed with metal roofing by Worthouse.

Portland, OR - The Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) has selected a residential re-roofing project completed by Worthouse, Inc., a leading metal roofing manufacturer headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Ill., as the winner of its Best Metal Roofing Project competition for the second quarter of 2022.

The award-winning metal roof is the crowning touch on a stately 7,800 square-foot home that was built in 1994 and is located in Ocala, FL. The home’s new roof replaced a worn-out concrete tile roof. In completing the project, both Worthouse and the metal roof installer, Innovative Sheet Metal, had to overcome a number of challenges, including grappling with a range of different pitch elevations, complex detail work and an extremely tight two-week lead time.

These challenges—and the end result—are what made the project such a stand-out in the view of the MRA judges. The homeowners chose Worthouse’s Supre modular metal roofing product made with 26-gauge steel that offers long-lasting protection against wear, corrosion and extreme weather conditions. Worthhouse’s metal tiles have been tested at wind speeds exceeding 200 mph and are designed to withstand severe Category 4 hail damage. The new roof also delivers an outstanding warranty, energy savings benefits and maximum curb appeal, complementing the home’s beautiful architectural style perfectly.

“Quality metal roofs not only look great, they deliver excellent performance. In fact, many of our customers have experienced a decrease in energy bills and insurance premiums as a result of installing a long-lasting and reliable metal roof,” said Justin Wickham of Worthouse, Inc.
