COMcheck™ Demo Part Of Free Energy Code Webinar
Westlake, OH - Bill "The Code Man" Beals of Therm-All will be conducting a free AIA-accredited energy code webinar, focusing on COMcheck reports, on Thursday, October 26th at 2:15 p.m. ET.
COMcheck is the U.S. Department of Energy’s commercial energy compliance tool that helps architects and contractors determine whether new commercial or high-rise residential buildings, additions, and alterations meet the requirements of the
IECC and ASHRAE Standard 90.1, as well as several state-specific codes.
COMcheck reports are now required in many states for new construction, additions, and alterations, and completed projects are sometimes checked during final inspection for adherence to the submitted COMcheck report. That's why it's important for contractors and design professionals to become proficient at navigating COMcheck and producing accurate reports.
In his demonstration, Beals will review the current commercial energy code landscape; illustrate how to generate an accurate COMcheck compliance report, with specific emphasis on the building envelope; deconstruct important COMcheck terminology;
and review key pain points faced by builders and architects.
The webinar provides attendees with 1 AIA LU HSW and/or a certificate of completion.
For those unable to sit in on the live webinar, a link will be provided for later viewing.
