The Bryer Company Offers New Residential Standing Seam Installation Guide

bryer-residential-standing-seam-manualAuburn, WA - The Bryer Company Inc., headquartered in Auburn, Washington, has introduced a comprehensive residential standing seam installation guide to help both installers and homeowners alike. The updated manual was designed to show multiple options for various flashing conditions, while also outlining some of the architectural details that can help take roofing contractors' installations to the next level.

“When I’m talking to homeowners I am always quick to point out that, while Bryer offers excellent options for residential metal standing seam systems, the real difference maker in every job is the roofing contractor that you hire,” said Peter Tuininga, Bryer’s Vice President. “While we show a lot of typical details that that are suitable for many applications, we wanted to highlight higher-end details like a notched and hemmed 'hook' eave, which can really help differentiate installers' work.”

Tom Van Alstine, Bryer’s Director of Sales noted, “A lot of contractors are still new to metal roofing and this manual has been a huge asset to help get them comfortable with industry best practices.” He went on to say that “while it wasn’t our original focus, we have also received strong feedback from the roofing distribution market. Often times sales and counter people are not as familiar with metal and this guide has really helped educate them to better understand the options.”

In addition to a full suite of commercial profiles, Bryer manufactures three different standing seam profiles designed for the residential market. All three - TBC-Truloc, TBC-Proseam and TBC-Masterseam - are covered in the new installation guide.
