ATAS Announces Retirement Of Key Team Member Dave Weidl

dave-weidlAllentown, PA - After 22 years of service with ATAS International, Dave Weidl has announced his retirement. Weidl joined ATAS as a Product Representative, whose territory included the state of Ohio, and portions of Kentucky and Indiana. In 2017, he was promoted to Architectural Business Development Manager. This position also included the development and management of corporate accounts, and Weidl was instrumental in company growth in both areas.

During his tenure at ATAS, Weidl obtained the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C) accreditation in 2009. He also achieved the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Construction Documents Technologist (CDT®) certification in 2011. Weidl was active in several industry associations, including CSI and SCIP (Specification Consultants in Independent Practice), and served on the board of the Columbus, Ohio CSI chapter. In 2004, his sales expertise and ATAS product knowledge earned him the Malan S. Parker Award for Salesperson of the Year.

Weidl’s professionalism and expertise was valued by both external and internal customers. He was always willing to help with the training of new ATAS Product Reps and would often travel with them within their territories. He would make educational presentations with them to architects, designers, specifiers, and engineers. Weidl also assisted in the creation and editing of specifications for industry professionals, in both the specification writing platforms and for ATAS’ specification library.

The growth of ATAS Academy and the multitude of ATAS’ educational offerings was influenced by Weidl’s input and experience. He was also very involved in many national and international trade shows and speed networking events held across the country.

Jim Bush, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of ATAS, stated, “We are very fortunate to have several talented employees who have worked at ATAS for many years, including Dave Weidl. His efforts have greatly increased our presence in the architectural community and with corporate accounts, and he was instrumental in the company’s growth in these areas. We wish Dave all the best in the next chapter of his life and are thankful for his time and contributions at ATAS.”
