Copper Reroofing Project Is MRA's Quarterly Roofing Competition Winner
A beautiful new copper metal roof from Aluminum Shingle Company and installed by MRA member Mountaintop Metal Roofing is the winner of MRA’s Best Residential Metal Roofing competition for the first quarter of 2024.
Portland, OR — Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) has named a beautiful re-roofing
project that used all copper tiles as the winner of its Best Metal Roofing Project competition for the first quarter of 2024.
Located in Bow, Washington, the award-winning copper metal roof was installed by MRA member Mountaintop Metal Roofing on a 4,000 square-foot home, replacing a worn-out blue tile roof that was not only failing, but detracted from overall appearance
of the beautiful home. The homeowners decided to go with a “forever” roof and chose copper tile manufactured by The Aluminum Shingle Company as a crowning touch for the home.
As an organic alloy, the new copper roof will weather beautifully in the Pacific Northwest’s wet climate, changing patina over time without compromising on long lasting durability and performance. The project itself impressed the judges with its
great attention to detail for a roof that was installed to last a lifetime, and credited the crew for overcoming challenges with great skill, including contending with different planes, skylights and a severe roof pitch. In all, the project took just
three weeks to complete.
“This amazing copper roof was installed masterfully, and it will last a lifetime,” said Glenn Boss of Mountaintop Metal Roofing. “Installing such a beautiful, long lasting and worry-free roof is very gratifying. We were very happy
to be part of such a great project.”
With this phase of the competition now closed, the search is on for MRA’s Best Residential Metal Roofing project for the second quarter of 2024. Open to U.S. and Canada homeowners, contractors, installers and manufacturers, MRA officials will select
one outstanding metal roofing project based on project appearance, performance and originality/use of materials. Interested
participants may upload their project photo along with a 200-word or
less description for why their metal roofing project is worthy of top
honors online at metalroofing.com. MRA Contest Entry Link: https://woobox.com/t52pss
