Knight Wall Systems Offers Fastener With Thermal Isolation Tube

Deer Park, WA - Knight Wall Systems announces the launch of ANKIT™, a new proprietary fastener to be used in conjunction with Knight’s CI® and HCI systems to further aid in overcoming the challenges of thermal bridging and wind-driven rain.

Knight General Manager Brian Nelson said, “ANKIT simply takes energy efficiency and moisture management to the next level.”

ANKIT is essentially a high-performance screw and thermal isolation tube. The wedge tip feature of the polycarbonate tube is expressly designed to aid the water resistive barrier’s (WRB) ability to keep moisture from penetrating the envelope.

ANKIT is available with a thread point (TP), for wood stud, concrete and CMU applications; or a light-duty drill point (LD) to fasten to steel studs. The screw component is case-hardened and ASTM A510-compliant tempered carbon steel with an HCR® double barrier coating for corrosion resistance. The isolation tube is made of high strength polycarbonate.
