Portland, OR - The Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA), in partnership with
Metal Coffee Shop, has named a beautiful re-roofing project located in Markham, Ontario, Canada as the winner of its Best Metal Roofing Project competition for fourth quarter of 2024.
The award-winning project, featuring Soteria Metal Roofs with installation by Canadian Roof Specialist,
was completed on the 3,500 square-foot home after the home’s original asphalt roof failed to withstand high winds and had to be repaired and patched three different times. Having experienced the hassles, expense and issues caused by their asphalt
roof’s premature aging, the owners decided to replace it with a long-lasting, strong and low maintenance new metal roof.
The winning roof was installed using a direct to deck method, featuring a hidden 4-way metal roofing system by Soteria Metal Roofs that is designed to hold up against high winds and severe storms. The beautiful new roof with its rich, dark color,
complements the home’s architecture and the neighborhood perfectly. Plus, the new roof is energy efficient and will help the homeowners save money on utility bills for years to come. For these reasons, other homeowners in the vicinity also have
adopted metal roofs.
“By choosing a high quality metal roof, these homeowners will not only maximize the performance of their home, but they also will enjoy peace of mind for years to come–and that is truly a winning combination,” said Renee Ramey, MRA executive
director.
With this phase of the competition now closed, the search is on for MRA’s Best Residential Metal Roofing project for the first quarter of 2025. Open to U.S. and Canada homeowners, contractors, installers and manufacturers, MRA officials will select
an outstanding metal roofing project based on project appearance, performance and originality/use of materials.
