RIMA-I Product Verification Undergoing Changes For 2025

rima-i-product-verification-2025Virginia Beach, VA - The Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association International (RIMA-I) announces changes to its Product Verification Program that will take place during 2025.

In the past, RIMA-I, along with ASTM International and their certification team at SEI (Safety Equipment Institute), have sought to strengthen the reflective products industry through the voluntary Product Verification Program. This program verifies reflective products meet ASTM International standards and codes and are thoroughly evaluated to perform as claimed. This program helps to educate building professionals and consumers alike to know the importance of proper testing in order to achieve the desired energy saving results.

There are currently five verification categories: reflective insulation, radiant barrier, interior radiation control coating (IRCC), facer materials and radiant barrier sheathing. To view a list of tests for each category, visit https://rimainternational.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/List-of-Verification-Tests-0819-3.pdf.

Each verified company is assigned a unique verification code that is incorporated into their verification logo. All Verified Products are listed on the RIMA-I website so purchasers can validate whether a product of interest is an authentic RIMA-I Verified Product. A new requirement for 2025 that further protects the validity of verified products is, as of July 2025, all verified products will be printed with the company’s unique verification logo as assigned to that product and approved by RIMA International.

With the addition of the requirement to print the logo on product, now member manufacturers can register the product names of their distributors (including private label distributors) with RIMA International so they too can sell and market the product as a RIMA-I Verified Product.
