Press Room Equipment Moving To New, Larger Facility

Moundridge, KS — Press Room Equipment Co. (PRE), acquired by The Bradbury Group in 2023, is building a new facility in Springfield, MO, designed to enhance the company’s capabilities and support its growing operations.

With 32,000 square feet of space, PRE will have the capacity to take on more projects, streamline assembly processes and ensure timely delivery to customers. This expansion strengthens production efficiency, scales operations and meets the rising demand for PRE’s products and services. It marks an exciting step in PRE’s commitment to growth and excellence, allowing the company to continue offering a full range of products while expanding its custom solutions to meet specific technical requirements.

PRE was founded in the late 1970s in Rhode Island, starting as a small company with a focus on providing high-quality equipment for press feeding operations. PRE has been a leading provider of press feeding and coil handling equipment for over 40 years. PRE offers a comprehensive range of products, including press feed systems, powered and pull-thru straighteners, coil handling equipment, pallet decoilers, coil upenders, cut-to-length machines and custom solutions.

In 1991, Press Room Equipment made the decision to relocate its operations to Springfield, partnering with another company based in Missouri with complimentary equipment. This move was a pivotal moment in the company’s history, marking the beginning of a new chapter. Springfield’s central location and business-friendly environment allowed PRE to better serve its growing customer base, streamline operations and strengthen its position within the industry.

Over the years, the company underwent various transitions, adapting to the evolving demands of the industry and expanding its product offerings. These changes included adjustments in ownership, leadership and strategic direction, each one contributing to the growth and evolution of the business.

In December 2023, The Bradbury Group, a global leader in the design and manufacture of roll forming and coil processing equipment headquartered in Moundridge, KS, acquired the assets of Press Room Equipment Co. This acquisition aimed to enhance both companies' offerings and collaborative efforts in the metal stamping and fabrication industries. Following the acquisition, Press Room Equipment Co. continues to operate as an independent entity under The Bradbury Group, maintaining its management, staff and location. The integration is expected to provide technological and engineering support to facilitate growth and business expansion.
