Walker, MI – FALK has published a new Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its Insulated Metal Panels (IMPs),  showcasing the company's commitment to transparency, sustainability and continuous improvement across its manufacturing processes and supply chain.

The EPD was third-party certified by SCS Global Services and is a summary report of the environmental performance of the company's insulated metal panels  based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). An LCA is a scientific process which examines the environmental impacts associated with our IMPs from cradle to gate, from raw material extraction, through processing and manufacture. EPDs are prepared in accordance with international standards.

“FALK’s verified EPD enables their customers and building professionals to make more informed decisions to use environmentally conscious building materials,” said Keith Killpack, Technical Director at SCS Global Services. “Third-party verification provides credibility and trust of the data, signifying FALK’s dedication and leadership with product transparency.”

SCS Global Services (SCS) has been providing global leadership in third-party quality, environmental and sustainability verification, certification, auditing, testing, and standards development for over four decades. Certification by SCS, as represented by the SCS Kingfisher, is a visual expression of proven commitment to sustainability through environmental stewardship, responsible resource management, and protection of people and communities.

You can find a copy of FALK’s EPD on the Testing & Certifications page of the company's website. Persons with questions about the company's EPD or other certifications are encouraged to reach out.
