OSH Cut Announces Plans for Second U.S. Plant

High-Tech Factory to Open in Metropolitan Cincinnati Area

New equipment is being positioned for the start up of OSH Cut's new Cincinnati plant. 

Spanish Fork, UT  – OSH Cut CEO Caleb Chamberlain announced recently that the company is nearing completion of a second U.S. factory. The company is investing $10 million to equip the 70,000 sq. ft. plant, which will be located in the the greater Cincinnati area. It is expected to employ 70 workers and will provide on-demand metal fabrication.

OSH Cut is known for pioneering a self-serve, online model for ordering custom tube and sheet metal parts. As indicated in OSH Cut’s announcement video, their additional coverage and capacity outside of Utah will benefit all customers, but particularly those located East of the Mississippi River, which account for 43% of their current client base. 

The new plant will help OSH Cut better reach customers East of the Mississippi River, which comprises nearly half the company's business. 

“Cincinnati is a great location because it gives us 1- to 2-day Ground proximity to the vast majority of our customers,” explained Chamberlain. “It’ll accelerate shipping times and decrease costs by a lot.”

Directing his comments to these Eastern US clients, Chamberlain mused, “You wouldn't think when you’re looking for a metal fab shop that people are going to look at Utah and say ‘Yeah, I want to order from those guys’, but it is a massive percentage of our business, and we appreciate you giving us a chance, even though we’re across the country.
