Morin Launches MorKlad™ Single-Source Through-Wall Solution for High-Performance Building Envelopes

Bristol, TN – Morin, a leading manufacturer of single-skin architectural metal wall and roof systems, officially announced the launch of MorKlad™, a new single-source through-wall solution designed to simplify specification, coordination and installation while delivering high-performance thermal, structural, air and vapor and fire protection, and backed by a 15-year system warranty.

MorKlad™ is making its official debut at Greenbuild International Conference + Expo in New York City. Presented in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council, Greenbuild brings together the industry around decarbonization, energy, resilience, technology and materials, providing an ideal platform to introduce Morin’s new high-performance through-wall solution. Morin will be at Booth #1554.

Combining Morin’s architectural metal panels, high-performance phenolic insulation, a self-adhered weather barrier and fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) girts into a single through-wall solution, MorKlad™ delivers single-source accountability and access to Morin's extensive range of architectural profiles, materials, colors and finishes.

At the core of MorKlad™ is rigid phenolic insulation delivering R-8.1 per inch, allowing energy-code requirements to be met with less wall thickness.

The system also incorporates a self-adhered weather barrier that creates an impermeable seal, withstands UV exposure for up to 12 months, and can be installed in temperatures from 0°F (-18°C) to 150°F (66°C). A pultruded FRP Z-girt reduces heat transfer while providing high tensile and compressive strength. Its lightweight design requires no pre-drilling and can be cut on-site with standard tools, helping simplify installation.

MorKlad™ is also designed for demanding fire-performance requirements. The system incorporates non-combustible single-skin metal panels, has been tested to NFPA 285 standards for multi-story building code compliance and features intumescent fire-blocking technology for high-rise construction.

By consolidating wall assembly components under a single manufacturer, MorKlad™ reduces coordination challenges and minimizes rework and delays.
