A world-class gateway to Asia and the Pacific Rim, the Shanghai Pudong International Airport was completed in 1999. It handles tens of millions of passengers and cargo annually.

The architectural firms, ADP Pairs and Shanghai Modern Architectural Design Group Co., Ltd., chose a theme of harmony between mankind, architecture and environment when creating the facility. A sense of motion is everywhere - the configuration of the terminal building is reminiscent of a seagull in flight, reflecting the leap forward that’s been taken by Shanghai, China.

Kynar 500® resin-based coatings will protect more than 360,000 square meters of metal used on the project from punishing industrial pollutants, humidity, ultraviolet rays and soiling - for decades to come.
