The 67,000 square foot Wayne & Gladys Valley Business and Technology Center was the first new academic building on the Cal State University East Bay-Hayward Campus in more than 30 years. It serves as a resource for all students at the university, providing a state-of-the-art home for programs in business, technology management, engineering, multimedia, science, and online degree programs.

The Hayward, CA, project cost more than $27 million and features include a multimedia presentation center, a management case study room, 97 offices, 17 classrooms and labs, and 8 conference rooms. The unique formation of the building allowed for the use of multiple CENTRIA products.

Thermally efficient Formawall® Dimension Series® in Off-White and Chromium Gray made up the main exterior wall panels, while FormaBond® Rout and Return in Aluminum Off-White was used for a highly designed section that juts off the side of the building. CENTRIA Formavue 500 windows provide a modern and sleek appearance stemming from their smooth integration with the Formawall Dimension Series panels.

The architect for this project was VBN Architecture, Oakland, CA. The general contractor was Flintco, Inc., Folsom, CA. The CENTRIA dealer was B.T. Mancini Co., Inc., Milpitas, CA.
