The Family Medicine Center at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC is a 120,000 square-foot facility with 60 exam rooms, including 12 for geriatric treatment. It has areas for X-rays and minor procedures, including two procedure rooms with equipment for a wide range of medical needs. The new center also has a large pharmacy and areas for physical therapy and sports medicine. The Monk Geriatric Center is in the same building for our older patients.
Topping the new building is roofing installed by Baker Roofing Company of Raleigh, NC. It is comprised predominantly of Series 2500 mechanically seamed standing seam metal from Englert Inc. More than 26,000 square feet of the Englert roofing is featured on the project. The coil from which the roofing panels were formed was provided with a custom Weathered Zinc paint color, produced to specifications on a newly christened paint line at Englert’s Perth Amboy, NJ production plant.
Responsible for the design of the new family medicine center was BBH Design of Research Triangle Park, NC. Barnhill Contracting Company of Raleigh was the project’s general contractor.
