Located in Lakeland, FL, the Favilli Family Medical Clinic is a 9,000 sq. ft. facility that features a Rigid Frame metal building system by VP Buildings.
The building is a three-practice medical center in a premier professional park in South Lakeland. A detailed EIFS-covered wall system on steel studs, with an extensive drive-through structure for patient drop-off on the front of the building, enhances the look of the facility. Meanwhile, upgraded finishes were used on both the interior and exterior.
While the building was not LEED certified, the project has numerous LEED certified items, including all-steel construction with a Galvalume-coated SSR standing seam roof system, by VP Buildings, over R-13 insulation and R-19 on the ceiling system. Areas of glass on the front of the building are shaded by a large walk and drop-off canopy system. Extensive landscaping provides shading of the site and building. Also, the interior finish includes all porcelain flooring, R-14 insulated walls, an efficient HVAC system, fluorescent lighting and more.
The VP authorized builder was Canco General Contractors Inc. of Plant City, FL. The designer was Samuel G. Sheets & Associates, Lakeland, FL. The project was completed in September 2007.
This building is adjacent to two other 12,000 sq. ft. medical buildings that were under construction by Canco General Contractors, all using metal building systems by VP Buildings.
