King’s Daughters Medical Specialties - Portsmouth is a unique addition to the Portsmouth, Ohio, community. It brings a variety of medical specialists to downtown Portsmouth, with an emphasis on the region’s number one health problem: heart and vascular disease. There are three physician offices in the building: one for family care, and two others dedicated to cardiology.
The project features CENTRIA’s Formawall® Graphix Series™ - the newest addition to the Formawall family of products. Graphix Series makes multi-panel designs become real within a single wall panel that is made to look like 12 smaller panels. Graphix Series' unique segmented construction makes this effect easy and economical. Best of all is the ability to choose how a wall panel is segmented along its length for unlimited combinations of new design possibilities.
Kirk R. Donges, Tanner Stone & Company Architects states: “The panels afforded us the chance to mimic the design of the main hospital campus, one of our client's main objectives, all the while being able to manipulate the scale of the panels to match the new building. The Main hospital building has 5 - 6 foot square panels, which simply were largely over scaled for this much smaller building. We ended up with a 30" square panel, and the new Graphix Series allowed for a much quicker installation time with the larger panels than we would have had with many more individual square panels. The owner has been extremely pleased with the final product."
