Lohmeyer Russell Architecture of Springfield, MO, specified nearly 16,000 sq. ft. of 16”-wide x 24-gauge 200DL metal roofing from Architectural Building Components for the Embassy Suites and Conference Center in San Marcos, TX. The general contractor was Flintco Inc., while the metal roofing installer was L.D. Tebben Company, Inc. Both companies are located in Austin, TX.
The 200DL is one of Architectural Building Components’ most popular standing seam metal roof systems. It’s a structural metal roof profile with a 2”-tall vertical rib that is mechanically seamed after the roof is installed. The standing seam panel is held to the underlying structure with a 20-gauge sliding clip that allows for up to two inches of thermal movement.
The 200DL’s seam is folded 180 degrees for a double lock configuration. The metal roof panel was designed to be installed on an open frame and has undergone uplift testing at Underwriters Laboratories and in accordance with ASTM E-1592, Corps of Engineers, Florida Building Code, International Building Code and Texas Windstorm.
