The expertise of M.G. McGrath as a fabricator and installer of aluminum composite wall panels is evident in the finished look of the Brookdale Regional Center in Brooklyn Center, MN. The building, which is predominantly brick, is adorned with nearly 4,000 sq. ft. of curved and canted aluminum composite wall panels.
The Maplewood, MN-based architectural metals company fabricated the panels from Platinum-finished 4mm-thick Alucobond aluminum composite material, manufactured by Alcan Composites USA Inc. of Mooresville, NC. M.G. McGrath cut the panels using a sophisticated CNC router and then welded as needed.
The Brookdale Regional Center is a blend of new and existing construction, with new wings added to the original Hennepin County government building’s east and south sides. Completed in 2004, the project was designed by Beutow & Associates of St. Paul, MN. Shaw Lundquist, also of St. Paul, was the general contractor.
