A surge of new residential units is set to be constructed in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn over the next several years. Kicking off this building frenzy is 1 North 4th Place. Sitting along the chic and lively Williamsburg waterfront, the 46-story luxury high-rise features on its exterior metal composite wall panels from Laminators Inc., Hatfield, PA.
The building features a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments–510 units in all–offering unobstructed views north, west and south, overlooking the East River and the Manhattan skyline. Residents there have access to extensive fitness and recreational amenities, a spacious terrace overlooking the river and parking for approximately 80 cars. The building also provides direct access to the walkway leading to two waterfront parks and is in close proximity to the L train and a new water ferry.
Taking the lead on this project was Douglaston Development of Douglaston, NY. The company has developed other properties in the area, including a pair of adjacent condominium towers.
Following suit with the trendy and stylish waterfront boutiques, restaurants and bars, Mannix Windows of Brentwood, NY personalized the exterior of the building with Laminators Incorporated's Thermolite™ panels in custom Sterling Silver Metallic (58,000 sq. ft.) and custom Midnight Blue (3,000 sq. ft.). Distributor A-Porcel of Bronx, NY shipped the pre-assembled wall sections directly to the job site where Mannix then installed them on the window system. Additionally, 35,000 sq. ft. of Bronze Stucco Thermolite “Blank Off” panels were also installed behind the louvers.
