Located in the Oregon Yacht Club in Portland, this floating home reflects the growing popularity of this unique type of waterfront residence in the Portland area. Taking the floating home concept to a completely new level, this residence features a stunning roof design that incorporates unusual compound curves and intersecting surfaces, which would be impossible to execute using many traditional roofing materials. The solution was an architectural standing seam roof, roll-formed on site using natural copper coil from Custom-Bilt Metals. Designed by architect Robert Oshatz, the home is being built by Even Construction of Portland.
