The Pederson Residence in Worcester, MA, was recently renovated. The existing shingles were removed and structural damages were replaced or repaired and a new metal roof was installed.
Flat areas of the roof were covered with fully adhered .060 rubber membrane with screw and plate fasteners. Grace Ice And Water Shield was installed the first six feet, in valleys, around the back roof hatch, and around chimneys. Typar Underlayment was used over the rest of the roof as well as areas covered by the Grace Ice and Water Shield. ATAS International Inc.’s Techo Tile panels and accessories were then installed.
ATAS International Inc.’s Techo Tile panel is a metal panel with a deep configuration in the form of an “S” or Spanish tile. This panel is installed vertically up the slope of the roof.
This style of panel, although not common in the New England Area, was chosen because it complements the structure very well. ATAS International Inc.’s metal roof panels were chosen because of the metal’s longevity, high durability, and wind ratings. The material used in this Techo Tile application was 0.032 aluminum.
Techo Tile is available in 30 standard colors. A lighter color, Patina Green, was chosen for the panels on the Pederson Residence because of its high reflectivity and energy savings. This project, contracted by Riccio Brothers Construction in Manchester, New Hampshire, was completed with over 3,500 square feet of material (including rubber roofing).
