The design inspiration for a recently completed private residence located on the Wilmington River in Savannah, GA comes from the architectural and cultural influences of the Caribbean Islands. A primary design goal was to create a one-story house that suited the environment and also broke up the nearly 18,000 square feet of living area. This was achieved by creating a main house plus three guest houses. The main house includes the primary living functions along with two bedrooms, game room and media room. Other bedrooms and guest spaces were divided among the three guest houses, one of which is a 1930s dock house original to the site.

Design for the project was provided by GreenLine Architecture, Savannah. In meeting the aesthetic objectives for the residence the firm used more than 40,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK® Double Lock Standing Seam roof panels. The 0.8mm/22 gauge panels have a Pre-weathered Graphite Gray finish.

The RHEINZINK panels were fabricated by MetalQuarters, Savannah, and installed by Integrated Construction and Restoration, Waverly, GA. The RHEINZINK distributor on the project was MetalTech—USA, Peachtree City, GA.
