With its strong resemblance to an alien spacecraft preparing to land, a state-of-the-art health club at the Spazio Shopping Centre in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, has become an iconic landmark. Frits van Dongen of the Netherlands designed the one-of-a-kind building, which was completed in November 2005 and is known by many as “The UFO”.

The exterior of the club is wrapped with 14,000 sq. ft. of .047”-thick, curved and tapered, stucco-embossed aluminum Kalzip panels.

Kalzip is widely used in Europe and with the opening of a manufacturing facility in Indiana in 2006, is now available in North America as well.
