Purported to be the largest aluminum composite panel project in all of Mexico, the Instituto de la Judicatura Federal de Mexico in Mexico City features approximately 220,000 sq. ft. of ALPOLIC® ACM (aluminum composite material) on its exterior.
Mitsubishi Chemical FP America Inc. of Chesapeake, VA, manufactured the PPG Coraflon-finished, Mist White-colored material, which has .020” aluminum skins and an LDPE core. It was fabricated into panels and installed, using a rout and return dry joint attachment system, by Mexico City-based DAISSA.
MAC Ingenieria Civil – Alfredo Carreno/Wichers of Mexico City was responsible for the building’s design. Contracting firms involved with the project included LaGuera Contrucciones SA de C.V., with offices in Chihuahua and Mexico City.
