Widely recognized for industry leading roofing systems, Overly continues to expand its Metal Wall Panel System offerings, to include Rainscreens, Perforated Screen Wall, and Single-Line Barrier Wall Systems. These systems offer the same levels of customization and quality as Overly roofs. Overly Roofing Systems can be designed with or without raised battens and exposed fasteners. They can be installed on sloped roofs and vertical walls. Panels can be curved and/or tapered for barrel vaults and domes or spherical shapes. Overly offers three roofing systems, the Batten Seam, the Bermuda panel and a second generation flush seam system, the Evolution. All are customized for each application. The systems feature internal components to remove any moisture that migrates into the systems, and carefully designed mechanical joints that allow for expansion and contraction to avoid distortion and metal fatigue. With or without exposed fasteners, these systems can be installed on sloped roofs and vertical walls. Panels can be curved and/or tapered for barrel vaults and domes. Overly systems are manufactured only from preferred light gauge metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, titanium and zinc, with multiple finishes in each of the metals available.
Overly also designs and makes custom wall panels. Roof and wall panels systems are manufactured only from preferred metals such as cold-rolled and pre-patina finish and copper, mill finish and custom painted aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and zinc each with the option of specialty finishes.
Overly's custom Wall Panel Systems include Rainscreens, Perforated Screen Walls, and Single-Line Barrier Walls. Panels can be curved and/or tapered to meet most any geometry to include spherical. Systems are manufactured only from preferred plate and light gauge metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, titanium and zinc with multiple finishes in each of the metals available.
Overly has a long history of producing Custom Architectural Works that include cornice and coping systems, domes, spires, crosses, and various other specialty metal systems which architects have deemed aesthetically important to the project.
The flexibility of the company's systems allows architects the freedom to improvise their plans. Overly welcomes the designer's request for complex, highly detailed systems which require extreme efforts in the design, manufacturing and installation stages. These projects are generally very complex, difficult to design and manufacture, and are not the types of work that the large mass production manufacturers of metal desire.
Background: Overly was established in 1888 and began manufacturing and installing custom sheet metal work. It was known nationally for building literally thousands of custom spires and steeples along with highly ornamental theater marquees. In the 1930’s, Overly was the first company to patent and use metal battens instead of wood battens. In the 1960s, Overly invented and patented a custom Bermuda style roof system. In the 2011 Overly created the Evolution Metal Wall and Roof System, which is without raised battens or standing seams and exposed fasteners. This system consists of a hidden drain channel, compression bar, cover cap and cladding sheets. The smooth, contemporary design appears monolithic when viewed from just a short distance. It's an 'Evolution' to all the standard metal wall and roof systems available throughout the history of the industry.
Although the systems and engineering has evolved significantly through the years Overly will continue its pursuit of perfection.
