About The Self-Storage Association

The Self-Storage Association (SSA), founded in 1975 and incorporated in the State of Virginia as a (501-c-6) not-for-profit corporation, is the voice of the self-storage industry. The SSA is affiliated with more than forty state and regional associations in the U.S. and several international associations representing Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, Latin America and South America. SSA members range from individual facility owner-operators and multiple-facility companies, to vendors, large publicly traded firms and Real Estate Investment Trusts.
