The United States Government Department of Homeland Security’s Glynco, GA-based office approached American Buildings’ Builder, L.C. Gaskins Construction Co., Inc. to build its new Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. L.C. Gaskins, based out of Jacksonville, FL chose to use American Building’s standing seam panels because of the reputation American Buildings has for the panels’ durability and cost effectiveness.
The project had three sections: Section one is 90’ x 82’, Section two is 138’ x 150’, and section three is 60’ x 41’. Primary framing is steel and the secondary framing is purlin with cable bracing, as well as split faced blocks around the perimeter base. The standing seam panels produced by American Buildings, made the installation in the 30,000 sq. ft. building an easy task, with an impressive, eye catching appearance afterwards.
The American Buildings Company Builder was L.C. Gaskins Construction Co., Inc. of Jacksonville, FL. The Architect was the U.S. Government Department of Homeland Security.
