Zoom Zoom Storage has a new facility in Markham, Ontario, Canada. The 56,700-square-foot building was built by Advance Storage Systems Inc., an American Buildings Company (ABC) Authorized Builder. The two-story building is fully climate controlled with heating and air conditioning and has both interior and drive-up units on site. The drive-up buildings are heated using in-floor radiant heating.
The two story units are 10-foot by 10-foot, with wider 30-foot spans incorporated at the office and loading areas. The exteriors have stucco architectural features and premium hidden fastener siding. The roof includes Galvalume® Standing Seam II roof panels. A flush ceiling system was utilized to create a complete and clean look.
Metal was chosen as the project material to maintain and exemplify the Zoom Zoom Brand of white and red stripping, while remaining cost effective. The use of hidden fastener panels maintains the seamless look of the buildings. The beauty and branding of the buildings maintains the level of excellence of the Zoom Zoom brand.
Additionally, for their work on the project, Advance Storage Systems, Inc. was awarded first place in the 2014 ABC Excellence in Design Awards in the Self Storage category. The ABC Excellence in Design Awards recognize Builders and Roofers for their innovation in design and metal systems construction.
