Located in the heart of the Little Italy neighborhood in the Bronx, NY, 2330 Hoffman is an exclusive lifestyle community completed in 2018. The property features luxury residences in a wide variety of styles, as well as attractive amenities, including
a shared roof deck located on the premises. This project took first place in the category of residential walls for ATAS International’s 2018 project
of the year awards.
Being close to the Arthur Avenue retail market, the Bronx Zoo, and the Botanical Garden, not to mention many eateries, contributes to making 2330 Hoffman a desirable place to call home. Apartments beginning in size from one bedroom with one bathroom,
up to four bedrooms with two bathrooms, are available in this 52,238 square foot building.
Anne Garcia, Inside Sales Consultant with Allied Building Products, stated, “The installer came to me inquiring about ATAS’ products, more specifically the CastleTop shingles. After some information was shared about the panels and accessories,
he place a small order to create a mockup to present to his client. Brian Silvius, Inside Technical Salesperson at ATAS, was very helpful to get the customer exactly what he needed in a timely manner. Due to the relatively complex design, the installer
and ATAS worked through supplying any additional flashing materials that were required and not identified in the original material order. Overall, the project went well and was made easy by all the information and details shared throughout the process.
My customer knew that he was getting exactly what he needed without any mistakes that could delay the project in any way.”
The CastleTop panel is a diamond-shaped metal shingle that can be used as wall cladding, or as roofing, to achieve a unique appearance. Different colors may be combined to create interesting patterns, as demonstrated on the façade of 2330 Hoffman.
The shingles can be manufactured in aluminum, with an embossed texture, or in copper or zinc, with a smooth texture.
For the 2330 Hoffman project, the CastleTop shingles were manufactured in .032 aluminum and three colors were used on the walls: Hemlock Green, Forest Green, and Patina Green, all with a 70% PVDF finish. The building was designed by Lin + Associates Architects,
PC, of Kew Gardens, NY. CastleTop shingles were installed by Reliable NYC Construction of Stanhope, NJ, and were purchased through ATAS’ distributor, Allied Building Products of Jamaica, NY, a Beacon Roofing Supply Company.
