Located in Denver, CO, Übergrippen Indoor Climbing Crag is a full-service climbing facility that offers a variety of indoor climbing challenges, youth programs, fitness areas, locker rooms, a pro shop and an outdoor patio. The facility features Rigid
Frame construction by Varco Pruden Buildings.
Übergrippen Indoor Climbing Crag was selected as a winner in the Recreation category in the 2018 Varco Pruden Hall Of Fame presentation.
Lefever Building Systems of Denver, CO was the VP Builder for this 11,330 sq. ft. structure that was completed in August 2017. Übergrippen measures 103' x 110' with heights of up to 43'. The project was designed by OLC Architecture of Denver, CO.
Being a rock climbing gym, the building presented load challenges that required special attention to structural engineering to support the climbing wall loads. Übergrippen was built within a tight time frame.
In addition to the building's framing, Varco Pruden Buildings also supplied its SSR profile roof panels formed from Galvalume-coated steel, along with Panel Rib wall panels in multiple colors. A variety of metal panels from MBCI were also used.
