3001 Dallas Parkway

Bands Of RHEINZINK Highlight Exterior Of New Texas Office Building

The 16th building in the award-winning Hall Office Park in Frisco, TX has opened to great acclaim. Identified as 3001 Dallas Parkway, the 8-story, 200,000 sq. ft. Class AA office building enjoys a prominent location in the sprawling 162-acre office park developed by Hall Financial Group. Among the materials utilized for its construction were RHEINZINK titanium zinc cladding panels. RHEINZINK is a product of RHEINZINK America Inc., Woburn, MA.

Constructed with the latest advanced technologies, the building offers efficient and flexible 25,000 sq. ft. floor plates with a two-story atrium lobby featuring high-end finishes and a display of contemporary art and sculpture.

The exterior facade presents a sophisticated application of horizontal zinc bands flanked by 10 ft. sheets of glass.

Architectural design for the project was provided by HKS, Inc., Dallas, and was intended to project a "sophisticated, international aesthetic." "The building has a minimalist design at heart, as it’s wholly about evoking the beauty from simple, natural materials and shapes," according to HKS architectural design team member Dustin Siegrist. Among the several million square feet of office space in Hall Office Park, material selection for the 3001 Dallas Parkway building makes it "truly stand out in an exciting and unexpected way," Siegrist said.

More than 16,000 sq. ft. of 1.0mm prePATINA blue-grey RHEINZINK Interlocking Reveal Panels were utilized to complete the contemporary design. "Zinc was selected for this project because of the beautiful patina that develops as it ages," according to Siegrist.

The RHEINZINK panels were fabricated by MetalTech—USA, Peachtree City, GA. "The architect favored the look of a one-piece fabricated corner panel rather than a corner flashing piece connection," said Michael Love, project manager. "Therefore the corner panels arrived as 14' to 16' pieces that really required particular care and expertise in installing." Handling the installation was NOW Specialties, Inc. of Carrollton, TX.
