NEXGEN Metal Design Systems, Inc. has announced the completion of
a stunning new architectural facade featuring over 7,000 square feet of
custom modular metal panels for the new Burns and Scalo Roofing
Headquarters located in Gahanna, Ohio.
This
bold and innovative project highlights the transformative power of
modular metal panel systems in modern architecture. Engineered and
manufactured by NEXGEN, the facade features a striking combination of
three custom color finishes, four distinct panel depth variations, and a
wide array of modules and lengths—all strategically designed to create
an unforgettable visual impact.
To
achieve this effect, each panel was rotated precisely 45 degrees while
maintaining horizontal alignment at the top and bottom, resulting in a
dynamic and visually rhythmic pattern laid out in a custom running bond
grid. The design emphasizes dimensional depth, clean geometry, and
captivating texture, fully realizing the creative potential of NEXGEN’s
Mosaic+ Modular Panel System.
“This
project is a perfect example of how modular metal panels can turn bold
design ideas into buildable realities,” said Scott Callaway, Vice
President & General Manager at NEXGEN. “The Burns and Scalo
Headquarters reflects what’s possible when architectural vision meets
engineered precision.”
NEXGEN’s
Mosaic+ Modular Metal Panels redefine design possibilities by offering
exceptional versatility in profile, taper, depth, and perforation.
Backed by robust performance, easy installation, and sustainable
materials, these panels are engineered for both beauty and durability.
Interlocking dry-joint systems ensure precision alignment and faster
installation, making them ideal for everything from corporate offices to
cultural centers and high-end residential projects.
Brian
Exline, Vice President & General Manager of Burns and Scalo Roofing
Ohio, felt then intricate panel design helped communicate the advanced
mission of the business.
“The
cutting-edge metal panel exterior of this building is a perfect
representation of the innovative nature and progressive culture of Burns
 and Scalo,” explained Exline.

project further cements NEXGEN’s role as a trailblazer in exterior
metal systems, where innovation, customization, and craftsmanship
converge.
