Casa Val in Escazu, San Jose, Costa Rica offers breathtaking views of the distant city and mountains, and features an intimate courtyard for family interaction and social functions. Jaime Rouillon Arquitectura of San Jose, Costa Rica designed the 6,000 sq. ft. residence. In addition to zinc, the firm's design incorporates stainless steel, copper and black iron detailing.

The project's 1,500 sq. ft. of zinc standing seam panels and reveal soffit panels were fabricated and installed by MetalTech-USA, a RHEINZINK distributor located in Peachtree City, GA. The firm fashioned the claddings from 0.8mm-thick RHEINZINK prePATINA graphite-gray stock.

Work on the home was completed in November 2012.
