Metal Building Systems From Varco Pruden Aid Creation Of Innovation Center

Varco Pruden Buildings, a division of BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc., supplied Rigid Frame metal building systems for the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center – Emerging Growth Center facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The building utilized a complete Varco Pruden framing system. Special spaced spandrels and vertical members allowed for the use of concealed-fastened horizontal metal siding as well as the support for aluminum storefront and masonry effects. The project also features an open ceiling concept with bar joists painted black.

Completed in October 2008, the 35,344 sq. ft. project is covered by Varo Pruden’s SSR roofing, a clip-mounted standing seam system. The walls are Varco Pruden’s Panel Rib profile in a Colonial Red color. Panel Rib comes in 36” widths and lengths up to 41’ to avoid the need for panel endlaps.

The Varco Pruden Builder was Michael Kinder & Sons, Inc. of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The project was designed by Design Collaborative, Inc. of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
