St. Luke's Health And Wellness Center

Florida Medical Facility Utilizes Steel Systems From Varco Pruden Buildings

Canco General Contractors Inc. of Plant City, FL used Continuous Beam and custom steel framing by Varco Pruden Buildings to create the St. Luke's Health And Wellness Center in Lakeland, FL. The 15,200 sq. ft. healthcare facility was designed by Johnson, Cartwright & Jarman Architects of Tampa, FL.

St. Luke's Health And Wellness Center was selected as the Best of Office Winner in the 2018 Varco Pruden Hall Of Fame presentation.

Measuring 152' x 105' x 26' high, the medical center houses four medical practices and a doctors' parking garage. The facility sports a contemporary design with parapet walls, a glass entrance tower, and a copper-colored aluminum composite material (ACM) wall at the entrance. Other features include: 20' tray ceilings in the reception area with clerestory windows, high-efficiency HVAC, LED lighting, R-35 roof and R-24 wall insulation, low-E glazing, and many other upgrades.

In addition to the structure's framing, Varco Pruden Buildings supplied its SSR roofing formed from Galvalume-coated steel.

St. Luke's Health And Wellness Center was completed in September 2017.
