When great design meets great execution, projects like The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, MA, are the end result. The ice arena’s dynamic design combines exterior-grade laminated wood paneling with 50,000 sq. ft. of high-efficiency Noroc and Norex-L insulated metal panels from Norbec to create an exterior envelope for the large building that is both attractive and energy efficient.

The Norex-L panels utilized on the project are 3" thick. The exterior face sheets of the factory-insulated panels are 22-gauge steel in a Microrib profile. The color is Charcoal. The interior face sheets are 26-gauge steel with a Silkline striated profile. The finish color is Imperial White. Handling the panel installation was Lainco US Inc.

Construction of the Boston Skating Club was completed in Sept 2021.
