With natural beauty and a low environmental footprint in mind, design professionals working on the Westminster High School project in Westminster, CO, combined the school’s practical needs with the prominence and inspiration of the local Rocky Mountains to promote active learning and collaboration.

With decorative appeal in mind, H & L Architecture of Denver, CO, designed the project with a variety of exterior cladding materials, including 26,000 square feet of Bright Silver Omega-Lite aluminum composite panels, manufactured by Laminators Incorporated.  Omega-Lite panels contain a total of 70% total recycled material which can contribute to achieving LEED points. Omega-Lite was selected for its ease of installation and quick turnaround times over other competitive cladding systems.

Riddell and Company of Englewood, CO supplied the ACM panels and Bighorn Metalworks of Commerce City, CO, installed them using the manufacturer’s 1-piece, Tight-Fit Moldings installation system. The general contractor for the project was Adolphson and Peterson of Greenwood Village, CO.
