Metal building systems and components from Robertson Building Systems of Ancaster, Ontario, Canada were utilized in the design and construction of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality Public Works Facility North, located in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. The $2.2 million facility was completed in December 2009.
Dillon Consultants of Sydney designed the structure. It was erected by Timberlake Construction of Millville, NS. The Robertson builder, Joneljim Concrete Construction (1994) Ltd., Sydney, served as the project’s general contractor.
The 8,400 sq. ft. building is 60’ wide x 120’ long and measures 24’ tall at the eave. It has a 1:12 double roof slope. Topping the structure is a 24-gauge, Ash Gray-finished Robertson Standing Seam Roof. The walls are Robertson’s 26-gauge Dura-Rib panels in a Light Stone color. The gutters and gable trim are Classic Green.
Additional design elements include a 40’ x 60’ mezzanine.
