Eagle Valley Middle School in Carson City, Nevada can now work diligently toward providing excellent education, thanks to an updated and improved campus constructed by Miles Construction, an American Buildings Company (ABC) authorized Builder.

Miles Construction, headquartered in Carson City, repaired and renovated existing interior portions of the 17,000-square-foot building using a rigid frame system, insulated wall paneling and American Loc Seam panels for the roof. Significant upgrades were made to the existing mechanical and lighting systems, allowing for a more energy-efficient facility.

The school’s improvements include a new 11,000-square-foot gymnasium built with a combination of pre-engineered metal building framing, masonry and insulated wall paneling. Its roof was insulated using a Simple Saver insulation system with Loc Seam panels for the roof sheeting. An additional 5,800 square feet of conventionally-constructed administrative and common areas were built on the north side of the existing building.

Miles Construction received first place in the “governmental/institutional category” for its work on Eagle Valley Middle School in the 2013 ABC Excellence in Design Awards competition. ABC’s Excellence in Design Awards recognizes builders and roofers for their innovation and distinction in design.
