Located in the Southeast Quadrant of Old Town Alexandria, VA, Ford's Landing features 136 luxury townhomes on the banks of the Potomac River. Once home to an old Ford plant, the developer, EYA of Bethesda, Maryland, transformed this abandoned property into one of the most highly regarded communities in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
The standing seam metal roofing material chosen for the project was an Englert Series 1300, 24-gauge, 16-inch panel. The developer selected six different colors for the project’s 134 townhouse roofs, emphasizing the importance that each homeowner’s townhouse have its own identity and the roof colors including Forest Green, Colonial Red, Burgundy, Slate and Dove Gray and Matte Black, allowed that distinctiveness to occur.
The 108,000 square feet of metal roofing was installed by Nash Roofing of Fredericksburg, Virginia.
