Nestled
in the rolling landscape of Bowling Green, Kentucky, the Harris
Residence showcases Premier Door Co.’s Zero Hinge Single Panel Door
System as a defining architectural feature. The 11,200 sq. ft. home,
constructed with a striking blend of natural limestone and clear cedar,
reflects a balance of timeless materials and modern engineering.
Positioned
with views overlooking The Club at Olde Stone Golf Course, the door
serves as both a functional access point and a seamless extension of the
home’s exterior design. When closed, the Zero Hinge™ system blends into
the façade, maintaining the clean lines and natural textures of the
limestone and cedar. When opened, the single panel also creates an
awning —revealing access to the home’s interior spaces.
Installed
by Stag Construction in collaboration with homeowner Justin Harris, the
9’-11 ½” wide by 8’-11 ¾" high hydraulic door was designed with
versatility in mind. The exterior clad with clear cedar vertical panels
provides convenient access for golf carts while also accommodating the homeowner's private car collection, combining everyday functionality with a
refined architectural presence.
Powered by Premier’s advanced
hydraulic system, the door offers reliable performance with minimal
maintenance. The top-side pivot design eliminates traditional hinge
lines, creating a modern, uninterrupted appearance that complements the
home’s materials and setting.
This Bowling Green, KY project is a
prime example of how Premier Door Co.’s Zero Hinge Collection can
enhance residential design—delivering a custom-engineered solution where
architecture, performance, and lifestyle seamlessly connect.
