This legacy Harley-Davidson dealership in Pelham, Alabama, is definitely one with remarkable drive. Multiple products by Metallic Building Co. were used to construct the fantastic 51,000 square-foot vehicle dealership, including the company’s Long Bay System, which helps achieve wide areas of open spacing for the motorcycle displays.
The $3.8-million dollar project features galvanized canopies with 24-gauge Batten-Lok Kynar-coated roof panels, along with exterior sidewalls and towers to complement the entrance. Dimensions of the structure are: 180’ width, 275’ length and a 19’ low eave height.
For this combination retail shop and Harley-Davidson dealership. a pre-engineered metal building by Metallic was selected for economics, speed of construction and overall aesthetics.
This Harley-Davidson project received the high honor of being a top finalist for Building of the Year in the Design Build Competition at Metallic Building Company’s 2007 National Sales Meeting.
The Metallic Builder, general contractor and roofing contractor was Four Star Builders, Inc., Hokes Bluff, Alabama. The erector was Paul A. Elmore, Inc., Mulga, Alabama. The designer was Edmondson & Associates, Montgomery, Alabama. Total project cost was $3,802,000. The facility was completed in March 2006.
