T & W Corporation, an American Buildings Company (ABC) Authorized Builder, brings the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to life inside the new Indy Collision Center in Fishers, Indiana. The IndyCar-inspired shop showcases innovation and creativity in metal systems construction.
The “IndyCar” theme is seen throughout the new collision center. Authentic “brickyard” bricks from the earlier days at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway were used for the entryway, and an Indy Racecar is mounted high above the lobby. The balcony sports a Winner’s Circle railing.
Aluminum composite material panels front the two-story offices and provide a striking appearance for the collision center. Pearl gray, Architectural II wall panels and Galvalume® Standing Seam II roof panels were used to clad the 17,260 total square foot facility. A pronounced glass entryway enhances the curb appeal. Inside the building, a production shop in the rear features over 9,000-square-feet of pre-engineered structure. The skylights and reflective white liner panels help naturally brighten the shop areas.
For their work on the project, T & W Corporation was awarded first place in the 2014 ABC Excellence in Design Awards in the Commercial category. The ABC Excellence in Design Awards program recognizes Builders and Roofers for their innovation in design and metal systems construction.
