The Mountain Aviation Hangar at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, Colorado, features metal building systems by Varco Pruden Buildings, a division of BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc.
Using Rigid Frame systems from Varco Pruden, the airplane hangar measures 19,250 sq. ft. The hangar is covered by Varo Pruden’s SSR roofing, a clip-mounted standing seam system. The walls are Varco Pruden’s Panel Rib profile. Panel Rib comes in 36” widths and lengths up to 41’ to avoid the need for panel endlaps. The front office portion of the facility was clad in a stucco-type product.
The Varco Pruden Builder was Lefever Building Systems of Commerce City, Colorado. The project was designed by Thomas Savory Architects of Denver, Colorado. The building owner is B&G Holdings, Inc. of Broomfield, Colorado.
