Sheyenne Plaza has turned an ordinary city block into a central meeting place for all. This $12 million, 124,000-square-foot complex in the 400 block of historic Sheyenne Street in West Fargo, ND includes a mix of residential and business uses, as well as a small city park and gathering space.
With this new construction now being the focal part of the city, Design-Build firm H2 of Fargo selected Omega-Lite aluminum composite material (ACM) panels for the exterior cladding of the plaza. Omega-Lite offers a highly decorative, strong, and durable surface finish for exterior wall surfaces. Composed of a polypropylene, corrugated core between two finished aluminum sheets, these panels are designed to be non-absorbent, water-resistant and easy to maintain.
Over 27,000 sq. ft. of Omega-Lite in Ascot White, Classic Bronze and Sandstone were installed using Laminators' 1-Piece, Tight-Fit installation system. This proprietary system made panel installation easy using their durable 1-piece moldings— both "H" and "Reveal H" moldings are available providing two different design options for the panel joints. A traditional, yet high-tech appearance was obtained at an affordable cost for all involved.
Omega-Lite installed with the 1-Piece, Tight-Fit system guaranteed Sheyenne Plaza a class A fire rating. The system meets NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 285, Miami-Dade County Product Control and Florida Product Approval requirements.
