Spirit Bay

Waterfront Residential Community Features Metal Roofing

ASC Building Products’ Skyline Roofing® was selected for use on the Spirit Bay residential development, a new waterfront community on Southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

The new resort town overlooks the Cheanuh Marina and offers nine home designs to select from, all of which will feature ASC Building Products’ 16” Skyline Roofing® with striations. The panels are formed from 26 gauge steel with a ZINCALUME® Plus coating.

Spirit Bay is a partnership between Trust for Sustainable Development and Scia'new First Nation. Both share the common value of investing in development with sustainability taking center stage. Trust for Sustainable Development is a not-for-profit corporation with a history of building sustainable communities throughout the United States and Mexico. This new community is pedestrian oriented and incorporates sustainable green building material into the design, which not only respects the natural coastal setting but offers forest trails and seaside parks for all to enjoy.

The architect was Merrick Architecture and Victoria Design Group, both firms of Victoria, B.C. The general contractor was Cantech Construction, Victoria, B.C. The roofer/installer was Aerial Roofing, Sooke, B.C. The roofing supplier was Slegg Lumber, Victoria, B.C.
